I was inspired by Free People’s cool customized Converse, but didn’t feel like spending beaucoup amounts of money to purchase my own pair. Instead, I found these rad tie-dye chucks at work a few weeks ago (I work at a Plato’s Closet) and bought them for around $10 (in comparison to FP’s $128). Then, I simply bought a studded leather belt (Hot Topic has them on clearance all the time), used a manual screwdriver to remove the studs, and put them on my shoes. I also added some gold beads and copper wire for some personal flare. On the right shoe, I put a hummingbird charm that my mother bought me a few years ago because you always have to remember that you’ve got wings and they can take you anywhere. That was really corny, but it’s true!
